In Fairness

its graduation time once again and i would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the graduates for making it till the end. sa lahat naman ng naiwan dahil sa kakabulakbol, belat nyo! hehehe! magsasayang na naman kayo ng tuition and allowance next school year.

speaking of graduation, though my son is not graduating ,we (my wife and i and my byenan) are excited for his commencement exercises. we are expecting that our son will take home most of the awards basing on his performace.

all of us attended the closing program (my wife took a leave from work just to attend) and very happy watching him perform on stage.

when the giving of honors and academic awards came, our son took two awards. "Best in Recitation" and "Most Active".

Punyemas! Wala man lang syang academic award! buti pa yung classmate nya na pamangkin ng isang duktor naka Best in Math kahit na hindi naman nakakakuha ng perfect score sa mga exams nila. at eto pang napansin ko, lahat ng bata may awards! dahil kaya they want to please all of the parents?

We expected him to bag the Best in Math and Best in Language since he's the only one who had perfect scores in all the quarterly exams in his class and high scores if not perfect scores in their daily tests. hindi sa pagmamayabang ha.

we really felt that our son was robbed with honors that is supposed to be his. as a parent, mas nararamdaman namin ang hurt since our son was treated unfairly. we witnessed how much effort he gave in reviewing for his exams and assignments and hindi man lang pala marerecognize. kahit sino ba namang parent willing makipagpatayan for the sake of their kid lalo na pag naaagrabyado ang kanilang anak.

but instead of being hysterical, we just kept our cool. its not wise na magkalat sa okasyon kung saan lahat ng parents nadoon. may breeding din kaya kami kahit na hindi kami dog. we will just wait for the proper timing na makausap namin ang teacher and ask the big question mark.

we planned earlier (even before the last quarter examinations) that we will be transferring our son to a different school next school year. with what happened there's no more reason for us to let him stay in that school where fairness and equality is supposed to be taught.

you might think that i'm over (as in over kung maka react).ikaw pag naaagrabyado ang anak mo, what would you do?
